Shirsgaon: Ambulance drivers from Shrirampur taluka and the surrounding areas, who play an important role in taking patients to hospitals on time, were honored by Bhumi Foundation. The programme was held on Tuesday at the Government Rest House in Shrirampur.

In the beginning, the ceremonial lamp was lit at the hands of the dignitaries including the organization’s guide Principal T. E. Shelke, Shrirampur Taluka Health Officer Mohan Shinde, Police Inspector Dadasaheb Magre, Naib Tehsildar Dattatray Shekatkar, Babasaheb Gosavi, former Tehsildar Gulabrao Patil, Medical Officer Yogesh Band, industrialist Pradeep Chhallani, Founder Dr. Kailas Pawar, Dr. Baburao Upadhye, Anil Autade, and Sukhdev Sukale. The introductory speech and welcome address were given by Founder-President Dr. Kailas Pawar.

Dattatray Dalki, Rahul Jadhav, Rahul Wakchaure, Kiran Khajekar, Chandrakant Kadam, Abdul Pathan, Mustaq Sheikh, Dinesh Salve, Sham Helkute, Ravi Devgire, Satish Chavhan, Subodh Navgire, Rishikesh Band, Padgale, Pradeep Dive, Subhash Divte, Satish Pawar, Pappu Kanjane, Manoj Sharma, Santosh Raskar, Vishal Sonawane, Sudhakar Kharat, Santosh Shelar, Anil Damade, Subhash Naik, Chandrakant Dhobane, and Ramesh More—a total of 29 ambulance drivers—were honored in recognition of their sense of duty.

Shekatkar, Gosavi, Dr. Mohan Shinde, Shraddhanand Maharaj, Anil Autade, Swamiraj Kulathe, and Principal Shelke expressed their thoughts on the occasion.

Sudhamrao Autade, Dr. Prakash Mehekar, Dr. Shankarrao Gagare, Shivajirao Baragळ, Subhash Gayakwad, Kachru Mahankale, Bhimraj Bagul, B. R. Chede, Rajendra Desai, and Baban Take were also present.

The programme was conducted by Prasanna Dhumal, and the vote of thanks was given by Dr. Baburao Upadhye.
